Emma Previato (1952-2022)
On June 29, 2022, Emma Previato passed away. Emma was a professor of mathematics at Boston University. She received her PhD from Harvard, under the direction of David Mumford. Her thesis was on "Hyperelliptic Curves and Solitons". To honor her mathematical achievements on here 65-th birthday, Cambridge University Press published two volumes, edited by Ron Donagi and Tony Shaska.Â

Emma was an editor of the Albanian Journal of Mathematics from the very beginning. She served on our Editorial Board for sixteen years (2007-2022).  To commemorate her life and her mathematical achievements the Albanian J. Math. will organize a special issue in her memory. We invite all of Emma's co-authors, students, and colleagues to send their contributions.
